Position: Senior Programmer Analyst Location: Carson City, NV
Start Date: ASAP End Date: June 30, 2015 3. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED As a web developer, the SPA will be responsible for the implementation of improvements and enhancements to the Nevada Business Portal. The consultant will be assisting the business to define their needs and effectively translate business requirements into technical specifications and application design. The top three (3) technologies needed are: J2EE, Web Services and WebLogic. The consultant should have excellent technical and analytical skills. *Consultant must have:* Design and implementation of new features for the Nevada Business Portal; Creation of technical specifications and work with lead developers; and Identification and development improvements for the application performance. *The consultant must have the following qualifications:* Solid knowledge in object oriented methodology using JAVA; Knowledge in web service development; Experience in XML technologies; Good understanding of J2EE design patterns and ability to build Java EE applications using model-view-controller (MVC) design pattern; Interested in adopting and acquiring new technologies; Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies; Experience working with relational databases; Five (5) plus years professional experience using web technologies, such as J2EE, Java, JSP, Servlets, JavaScript, JSF, WSDL, XML, HTML, XSD, XSLT, AJAX, SOAPUI, web services; Experience with SQL and database concepts; Experience with version control tools; Experience in using IDEs; Experience in Windows, Linux operating environments; Experience with Web Development using JSP, HTML, CSS, Java and supporting tools; Experience with J2EE, Spring Security, Spring MVC, Apache CXF, Hibernate frameworks; Good knowledge of XSL, WSDL, XSLT and other XML technologies. *4. SCOPE OF WORK* Consultant must perform all activities to the agreed upon project plan/schedule. Under the supervision of the State IT Manager the consultant will develop SilverFlume-related functionality as directed and as meets the business and technical requirements of the project. Consultant is encouraged to collaborate closely with Scrum Agile team members and to provide technical recommendations.
