This Senior PL/SQL Developer works on problems involving the evaluation of
specifications for complex business requirements and processes (new,
enhancements, and maintenance), and develops and prepares PL/SQL and
UNIX-based solutions. This role serves as a primary developer on “garage
shop” marketing leads management system on a small team; therefore, the
role will be responsible for all stages of the development lifecycle -
verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs; tests and
debugs programs; participates in the overall systems testing; and supports
the implementation of the application into production.



Required Skills



 Experience Level: 4 year degree and 5-7 years of recent development
experience with Oracle.



Description: Acts as a lead in providing application design guidance and
consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology,
tools and existing designs. Analyzes highly complex business requirements,
designs and writes technical specifications to redesign our complex leads
application. Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or
develops highly complex original code. Develops new documentation,
departmental technical procedures and user guides. Provide operational and
development support for data integration project. Work in Oracle, Teradata
and Linux/Unix environments. Strong PL/SQL and SQL coding skills are a
must. Stored procedure and Linux/Unix shell scripting experience are
required. Optimize code for efficient performance in a high data volume
environment.



Proven experience designing, coding, testing and automating integrated
batch systems. Knowledge of database design techniques and components
including physical data modeling. Experience in handling large volumes of
data. Proven experience in developing physical database designs and
supporting production database environments. Good communication skills, can
work independently and directly with technical staff and business
community. Strong oral and written communications skills and an ability to
effectively communicate database technology concepts. Strong analysis and
troubleshooting skills are a must. Strong multi-tasking skills are a must.
4 year degree in a quantitative discipline.



Preferred skills: Experience with NDM, UNIX CRON, Teradata utilities is
preferred. Experience in the kinds of industries that have analogous large
volumes of data, such as financial services, telecom, possibly healthcare,
retailers or any other where there are lots and lots of discrete & diverse
transactions that could be measured & tied to individual customers.
