Job Title: TSM Engineer Location: Houston, TX (remote work) Duration: Contract (3 days/week for 6 months) Technical Skills Needed: They are at TSM v6.3.2 and want to migrate to V7.1 and implement TSM for VE and TDP for Oracle. · Remote work is preferred · Contiguous 3 days per week for 6 months. Days of the week may vary from week to week depending on work effort and timing · They run PMO using a Waterfall software strategy · AIX, TSM and Storage work will be required They are replacing NetBackup: No migration of data from NetBackup. They will keep a single media server and small library to handle older data requests Clean client installation/migration to TSM Have a p740 production TSM server, need to carve that up into two LPARs: Original TSM version on LPAR is 6.3.2 (which has a bug that doesn’t clean up DB2, thus their DB2 database keeps growing Newly created LPAR (using PowerVM) will be a temporary TSM production server (version 6.3.2) until they complete the upgrade of the production LPAR to 7.1 They will deploy: TSM for VMware TDP for Oracle · Haven’t decided yet if they will use LAN Free over Fibre or 10GB Ethernet · There will (or is) a TSM reporting server that will need to connect to DW instance · Documentation is VERY, VERY important to them!!!
