The XBOX Security Team is chartered with ensuring a strong security program by continually testing preventative, detective, investigative, and recovery programs and infrastructure. As a System and Security Administrator for the XBOX Security team, you will manage the change and operational health of critical security tooling and infrastructure. To be successful, you must have a solid, working knowledge of Linux, networking and scripting. Key responsibilities include: • Linux tasks include, Configuring Linux, Monitoring and providing system design recommendations for large scale performance of applications, installing and testing new versions of application products, writing documentation and procedures associated with system administration, managing and testing backup and recovery plans, planning and administering patch and new version upgrades, troubleshoot networking, authentication and application performance issues • Network tasks include configuration and maintenance of network and related technologies (Cisco, A10, Arbor) • Communication & Presentation – As a part of the LSD Security Team, it is necessary to be able to communicate with other security team members as well as service owners. It may also be necessary to write reports, operational guides and issue reports for resolution. Clarity and accuracy are key to rapid issue resolution and to ensure that the proper resources are allocated especially when dealing with outside vendors. A strong candidate will have solid networking skills, penetration testing, operating systems, online services, virtualization, automation and scripting languages. Skills in programming languages such as Powershell, C# highly desired and will aid in your success. You will need experience with a broad set of technologies such as: • Linux Experience 5+ Years • Network Equipment Administration Experience (Cisco, Arbor, A10, Sourcefire..) • Coding Experience Powershell, C#, or Python • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and use them to drive security throughout the environment • Ability to communicate effectively with management and peers • Willingness to respond to active security and infrastructure incidents after hours, weekends, and holidays • Vulnerability management experience is preferred • Security Incident Manager experience is preferred • Basic Networking (VLAN, Subnets) • Experience in TCP/IP Networking, protocols, and in the use of network sniffing tools, such as WireShark. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. *To further discuss this opportunity, please send us your updated Word formatted resume.
