Other required skills include: • 5+ years of experience with J2EE messaging technologies in a high-availability, clustered Websphere Portal and Websphere Application environment; this includes working closely with application developers and enterprise architects on messaging solutions and best practices. • 7+ years of experience in supporting IT systems. • 2+ years of experience with UNIX system administration; includes command line execution and shell scripting. • 1+ years of experience with FTP setup, data exchange and security. • 1+ years of experience with messaging availability using HACMP clustering technology. • 1+ years working knowledge of Java programs, J2EE concepts and Java messaging via MQ. • 1+ years as a messaging team lead and mentor. Additional Comments - Nice to have qualifications: • Experience in writing Ant scripts for build and deployment purposes • Experience in Configuring and administrating Subversion • Experience in Configuring and administrating CI tools such as Bamboo • Experience in Linux Administration • Knowledge of Java Job Level Specific Duties • Acts as the key resource in the deployment and maintenance of new systems to keep the system environment stable and interruptions to a minimum in standalone and multi-tiered environments. • Conducts system analysis to keep systems current with changing technologies and works with other professional technical staff in evaluating current systems and making decisions on future development. • Recommends and implements modifications to the server environment, including troubleshooting and replacement of faulty system hardware. • Evaluates and maintains hardware / software management and monitoring tools which will meet both the immediate and future needs of the customers. Typical Years of Experience • Typically requires 4-6 years relevant experience. Minimum Education and Certifications • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Skills • Strong knowledge of systems software / hardware, networks and operating systems. • Strong knowledge of processes and tools utilized for system management, problem reporting, change management and support tools. • Strong technical troubleshooting skills. • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
