We already have an existing infrastructure of virtual desktops supporting about 300 users. We are planning to move to a new infrastructure with more powerful servers and faster storage to boost the performance. We need someone with VMware VDI server side implementation experience who will guide the team and facilitate the migration. The servers and hardware resources are all in place, this person needs to configure and tune the environment for best performance and move the users to the new set up. *Required Skills:-*Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Experience in building and creating server and workstation images in a VMware environment In-depth understanding of desktop Virtualization technology with VMware ESX, Horizon View, vMotion, vCenter etc. Experience with VMware View 5.x (Design, deploy, install and maintain) with Windows 7 images Experience with vCenter Operations Manager. Performance monitoring and improvement of VDI clients Performance tuning of audio/video streaming in virtualized desktop environment Provision large number of Virtual Desktops using in-house automation tools and deployment technologies.
