*Title : QA Tester/Lead, NYC* Locations: NYC NY End date: 1 year Contract Project oversight: One contractor needed, part of 200 global team.
The candidate will join a global team and will be specifically responsible for working with the team to establish a test approach for team. This will be a hands-on role and will including planning and tracking the scope for multiple releases and coordination with several development teams. The Fixed Income team develop a Java, Excel and Oracle based Risk and P&L end of day system. The system covers all vanilla and exotic products traded by the Fixed Income desks globally. It has also been rolled out to other business lines such as Emerging Markets. Main Duties Responsibilities/Duties: • Take a lead role in establishing a QA process which is comprehensive and proactive for the team and ensure that QA process is followed. • Analyze QA challenges and propose solutions to improve QA efficiency • Implement Tests for new features and maintain test environment as required. • Develop specialist knowledge • Sharing knowledge, as required, with global teams. • Be an escalation point within the team, providing ownership of issues • Uphold and champion policies, procedures and standards • Review QA efficiencies based on QA metrics with development management • Regularly asses progress and prepare test status report for management.
