Send resume only at *[email protected]* <[email protected]> *Position Title: *Cobol/CICS Programmer** *Location: *Raleigh, NC 27604** *Contract Duration: *6 Months** *Rate: *open** * * *Job Description:* North Carolinas Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking to fill a short term (approx. 6 month) assignment for a contractor to provide production support and maintenance for the State Automated Driver License System (SADLS) and the State Titling and Registration System (STARS). These systems are mainframe, COBOL/CICS, DB2 and JCL based systems with some WEB-based components. Responsibilities will include: • Gathering business and systems requirements • Design, development and testing of complete to very complex programs • Providing support where ever needed such as leading meetings, requirements gathering, developing project documentation and mainframe / WEB application development & support. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Required: • Minimum of ten (10) years of software design, development, and maintenance experience. • Minimum of ten (10) years of business analysis experience • Minimum of ten (10 years of experience of software programming/construction and testing experience • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organizational and presentation skills • Minimum of ten (10) years of DB2 programming experience • Minimum of ten (10) years of CICS/COBOL programming experience • Minimum of ten (10) years of TSO work experience • Minimum of ten (10) years of VMS/JCL work experience • Minimum of five (5) years of Endevor and Expediter experience • Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing project documentation • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel • Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle • Graduation from an appropriately accredited four-year college or university with nine semester hours in programming. (Experience in the field of work related to the positions role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis).
