The Senior Oracle DBA will be responsible for supporting and managing the enterprise-wide Oracle and MYSQL Databases in production, development and test environments. They are part of a small team of DBAs that work on the installation, configuration and upgrade of MySQL databases and related products. *Responsibilities* · Responsible for day to day management of numerous Oracle and MYSQL databases on AIX and Linux in a growing and dynamic environment. · Responsible for capacity planning · Responsible for developing and tuning database environments to ensure performance and service delivery expectations are met. · Writes shell scripts / PL/SQL / Perl scripts to extract data from relational sources and automate jobs · Provides advanced database services to meet the needs of the business *Qualifications** * · BS Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field. · Must have 5+ years of extensive experience in managing Oracle databases and related technologies in mission critical high volume production environment · Must have extensive experience in physical/logical database design and must be able to perform Oracle and MySQL performance tuning and monitoring. · Must have knowledge in shell scripting. PL/SQL, Perl · Knowledge of Oracle RAC is a plus. · * **Experience in MS SQL Server is a plus. * · Experience with distributed databases is a plus. · *MySQL* represents 10-20% of the work load. Since we have many MySQL in production, MySQL exp is DEFINITELY needed.
