Role: Sr. Solutions Architect
Purpose: This resource will be mainly responsible for day to
day storage operations and
support/configurations and provisioning if necessary. This
resource will be plug for two of
the customer operations resources that are currently not working.
Resource will need to
provide knowledge transfer and convey best practices if needed.
This resource is not
expected to assist with any migrations/design/etc… while they are
onsite. There were
additional EMC services sold for disk upgrades so the PS team might
request some
assistance from time to time with this resource being onsite,
however this resources main
goal is to keep the lights on and maintain. Ideally this resource
will have experience with
Celerra backups to an Avamar, but I have advised it will be a nice
to have skill.
Must have technologies:
-Celerra NS-480
-The Celerra is an integrated unit and not being
used as a header
-CIFS File Shares. No NFS
-Fiber Channel SAN
-Their Production Environment is replicating to a
DR site
-Recoverpoint
-Windows
-Cisco 9148 and 9124 switches
Nice To Have Technologies:
-CX3-40
-Cloud Tierring Appliance (CTA)
-Centera Gen 4
-Avamar **Avamar is used to back up pretty much the entire
environment including
windows/exchange/etc…
