*Position : Cisco Network Engineer* Location : San Bruno, CA Duration : 6+ Moths · Responsible for network and security administration in a mission-critical, 24/7 corporate environment. · Develops and implements network designs that have high availability and scalability consistent with Company needs by assisting technical experts and senior network engineers in setting technical direction; Developing technology roadmaps; Gathering requirements to support new network implementations; · Evaluating supplier products; making recommendations relative to supplier products and services; · Understanding the relationship between departmental standards and technical decisions; · Researching and presenting information about new technologies; · Developing design references; participating in design reviews; and ensuring compliance with information technology governance standards. · Provides support for network infrastructure problems by monitoring the team's support queue; troubleshooting and diagnosing problems; · Identifying the root causes of problems; · Ensuring corrective action is taken following problem identification; · Developing plans of action to address network performance problems; · Aiding team members in the resolution of problems; and holding suppliers accountable for delivering corrective actions. *REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * *EDUCATION: * · B.S. in computer science or equivalent experience Cisco CCIE preferred Physical *Requirements: * · Must be able to lift server and desktop hardware (monitors and computers) of approximately 40 lbs Some travel required Provide on-call 24/7 support; occasional after-hours project work required *Experience & Desired Skills: * · 5+ years of design and operational experience with Cisco Enterprise routers and switches in a large scale enterprise environment · 2+ years of experience managing Cisco Unified Communication system (CUCM, Unity Connections and CER e911) Cisco Network Skills In-depth knowledge of routing, switching and network security and associated hardware platforms Solid Experience in Cisco Stackwise technology, Ospf protocol configuration and troubleshooting · Experience in monitor and troubleshoot Cisco HSRP protocol Experience in deployment and operation support of Cisco ASA product · Experience in Cisco Wireless LAN technology specific WLC wireless lan controllers and LWAPP lightweight access point protocol Understand fundamentals of spanning tree protocol and how to troubleshoot spanning tree loops · Experience in network security features Experience in network WAN protocol Experience in NAC Cisco Unified Communications Skills Solid experience in CUCM Route-Group, Route-lists and route-patterns design and configuration.
