*Skill Set: Sr. DW/BI Architect*
The candidate should have 15+ yrs of overall IT experience and 12+ years of
experience in the Information Management and Technology space with an
emphasis on Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. He/she should be
able to understand the business requirements that drive information
acquisition/modeling, information visibility and access needs across various
functions and be able to collaborate and negotiate with the business to be
able to design/deliver effective technology solutions. Should be experienced
with using the SDLC methodology for deploying project implementations
including but not limited to the various project lifecycle stages of
requirements gathering, analysis, design, execution, go-live and close.
Should be able to clearly articulate business requirements into a BRD format
and also design/implement the technical solution by developing functional
and technical specs and doing the hands-on configuration/development.
The individual should be a self-starter, have superior communication skills
and be able to operate in a dynamic environment by collaborating with the
internal IT DW/BI team, the functional IT and business SME’s as well as with
the PMO Organization. The individual should be able to define the DW/BI
project tasks, milestones and drive the delivery against the milestones.
Hands-on technical expertise is absolutely required.
*Technical skills required:*
Experience with SAP BW/BI – in the context of Data Modeling, ETL and
Analytics
Experience using ETL tools: Informatica and BO Data Services – in the
context of Design and Execution
Experience with traditional Data Warehousing: in the context of Designing
and implementing star schemas
Experience with Business Objects: in the context of developing the Universe
using the Universe Designer and the Analytics using WebI, Crytsal, Xcelsius,
Data Federator (nice to have)
Functional area/business process knowledge required in:
Sales, Marketing and Licensing
Order Management and Supply Chain Management – Quote/Order to Cash
Finance
CRM
Data Warehousing/BI Analytics experience required in:
SAP ERP & SAP CRM based Analytics: BBB (Booking, Billings, Backlog),
Sell-in, Sell-thru, COPA, Controlling, Revenue Recognition, Customer Care
Analytics, SFA Analytics, Customer Purchase History, Market Basket analysis,
deal banding etc.
Web/Marketing Analytics: Users, Usage, SaaS (Software as a Service) etc.
Combined data analysis around the above 2 categories for ex. Purchase and
Usage data
