*Position: sharepoint developer/administrator* *Location: ohio* *Duration: 3-6 months* Demonstrated ability to architect, design and deliver a SharePoint infrastructure, which requires an extensive end-to-end knowledge of SharePoint including the interconnecting pieces. Specific technical skills and experience include: Skills to install, configure, tune, apply patches, troubleshoot and support SharePoint Portal Server, Windows SharePoint Services, and integrated third party applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Internet Information Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Clustering, Windows Load Balancing, and DNS. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server including web and database server management and security. Knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript, Visual Studio, VBScript, PERL, and .NET Understanding of SharePoint site administration and permissions structure Ability to manage governance polices and permission groups. Ability to centrally administer search settings and site creations. Ability to deliver SharePoint backup/recovery and disaster recovery solutions.* * *Background:* multiple Sharepoint (SP) environments including a 2003 SP enterprise environment, a 2007 SP MOSS enterprise environment, a Project Portfolio Management environment, a Caseworks environment, and a PI environment. existing technical support staff for these environments has very limited SP experience and they are directing their efforts to keeping the SP environments operating. *Contractor Duties:* The contractor will addressing the items below. Additional needs that require attention of SP experienced support staff include: a) migration of Transmission Operations site from SP 2003 to SP 2007 MOSS; b) rebuild of SP 2003 environment to remove unlicensed installation of 2007 MOSS components; c) resolution of Sharepoint audit findings by identifying and implementing access control reporting tools in the SP 2003 and SP 2007 MOSS environments; and, d) resolution of the inability to restore the Caseworks environment from backup. The client needs to establish a stable and sustainable Sharepoint environment. The current SharePoint environments are not healthy and need significant work to achieve stability and sustainability for our customers.
