Job Title: *QA Tester - Investment Banking experience*
Location: *Durham**, NC*
Duration: *6 months contract, could extend*
Rate: *$37/hr*
*Functional Responsibilities: *
Design, develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases, tools
and infrastructure Work with Dev, Support and BA and build comprehensive
regression test packs Design, develop and implement complex test automation
both at the functional and system level. Leverage existing test tools to
automate new regression test packs Run regression tests and perform both
white and black box testing against releases Perform all aspects of
verification, including functional, structural, regression, Stress/oad and
system testing Document, troubleshoot and isolate problems encountered
during testing Work with other members of the QA team to improve our
processes, tools, methods, effectiveness and efficiency. Understand the
banks Software Development Lifecycle methodology. Understand how Support
fits with the SDLC. Familiarize with the applications, tools, feeds,
databases, and batch files etc that are being supported.
Develop SQL and basic scripts. Perform development tasks, unit tests, bug
fixes, regression testing
*EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: *
- Bachelors Degree
- Degree in Finance or Computer Science

*REQUIRED SKILLS: *
- 5+ years professional IT experience as a Developer or QA
- Understanding of Fixed income business
- Understanding front to back Trading system flows
- *JAVA or C++ or .Net *
- Any QA Automated tools
Background in QA methodologies and experience developing and executing
comprehensive test suites for system software.
Development skills in one or more of the following languages, minimum 1 year
:
- ASP Java script, VB Script
- HTML & XML
- Any test planning tools
- SQL
- Exposure to databases and data modelling
Background in QA methodologies and experience developing and executing

Ideal candidate will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as
well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Has experience of the software development lifecycle.
Ability to troubleshoot software / hardware configuration problems.

Ability to manage deliverables within time lines
Ability to work on multiple tasks
