Job Title:* **Senior Data Architect*

Rate:* $60/hr*
Senior Data Architect to develop and deliver scientific data integration
capabilities for the BMS Research area. The architect will be responsible
for developing security framework and prioritized data integration
enhancements for a drug discovery warehouse. The design will include
defining user's profile and controlling the data visibility based on the
profile. Other responsibilities will include data conversion of a Chemistry
reagent management application.
• Experience in coordinating security requirements across heterogeneous
applications accessing a central data warehouse
• Expert in the application of Oracle’s Row Level Security (RLS)/Fine
Grained Access Control (FGAC)
• Experience in data conversion projects involving vendor products,
- Analysis of data to understand the source-target mapping
- Co-ordination with vendor on data conversion activities
- Design a strategy for testing data conversion
- Familiarity with with MDL/Symyx cartridge and chemical structure data in
Pharma R&D
• Experience in the de-normalization techniques required to facilitate data
warehouse style queries (i.e. star/constellation/snowflake schema design)
• Expert in schema design including development of DDL, SQL queries, DML,
stored procedures, triggers, etc.
• Experience in data integration technologies including ETL tools, SOA, web
services, Informatica
• Working knowledge of agile software engineering practices, software
development life cycles and configuration management.
• Experience with pharmaceutical related web application and functional
knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is a strong plus.
