Location - white plains NY *Duration - 6 months* Must be willing to do face to face interview immediately after the phone interview *Must be local to NY/NJ/CT* SQL Database Programmer/DBA The candidate will develop specifications, data base design, systems and database tuning, and programming for Information Technology Application projects that meet priority company requirements for the new Mission 360 systems strategy, as well for all application database related projects supporting financial, internet, intranet, research, patient services, revenue development and marketing functions. *Position Responsibilities**:* - Refine and develop specifications, data base design, systems tuning, database programming, data hygiene services and 3rd party partner integration services in support of both the new Mission 360 database management solution and existing legacy Central database systems. - Work as part of the Software development team in an effort to design, develop, tune, integrate and cleanse the new Mission 360 constituent management solution. - Work as part of the Software development team to develop, test, tune and integrate various 3rd party partner database systems and feeds. - Work as part of the Software development team in support of enhancement requests and bug fixes on current legacy systems including Company Central, ETA, Patient services, etc. - Work as part of the Software development team on new initiatives for constituent account data hygiene including merge/purge, list generation, address verification and NCOA processes. - Work as part of the Software development team in collecting and understanding requirements, developing specification and design for system projects. - Provide administration support for all current and future databases including monitoring, backups and disaster recovery planning. - Work with various consultants and 3rd party software representatives involved in application development. Participate in establishing plan for knowledge transfer for support and new development. - Work with vendors and application service providers supporting remotely, collocation hosted web site and database servers to ensure appropriate service levels, program code promotion management, and business continuity planning as well as monitoring web site performance and making recommendations regarding hardware and software investments to support web user volume growth. - Perform other duties as assigned. * Position Requirements:* - Experienced SQL DBA/programmer with latest information technologies. - Three to five years experience in information technology software system development RDBMS database architecture, design, administration and programming. - Three to five years w/ extensive Transact-SQL, Stored procedure development, and managing various database objects. - Broad specification, design, software development, systems tuning and usability testing skills. - Experience working within highly productive IT teams. - Experience maintaining and supporting multiple database servers and environments (SQL server 2000 & 2005) - Experience supporting development cycles and implementing version control - Solid skills in understanding, communicating, and working with user constituencies. - Strong verbal and written presentation abilities. - Ability to develop and execute detailed software project plans. - Experience working with user groups for developing requirements, specifications, design, programming and usability testing. - Experience in latest information technologies including MS Office, Windows, SQL Server, Tranact-SQL, Stored Procedures - Experience working with SQL Server 2005 including migration from SQL Server 2000 (Databases, DTS packages, stored procedures etc.) - Experience in Database performance monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting, database backups & restore, setting up alerts - Background in one or more state-of-the-art programming languages including .Net, VB, Java, etc. - Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Information Technology disciplines.
