It's virtually certain you'll hit the wall and have setbacks as you start and then run your home based business. No matter how successful you become you will still experience challenges to overcome. How you deal with these challenges will determine in good measure how successful you ultimately become. Let me give you an example from my own recent experience. My business is highly automated and has a large internet marketing component. In the past 5 days as I write this my business challenges have included: * A lightning strike fried my wireless router despite being on a surge protector so I had no internet access to run my business * Once the wireless was back up my browsers would not find any web sites even though the wireless connection was active * My video camera connection via Firewire cable would not let my camera be 'seen' by the PC for some reason. So I could not capture, edit and post 4 new videos I had just recorded. And I could not even see how many new members I had sponsored this week and welcome them immediately! All this meant I fell behind on my plan for the week while I set to and fixed all these issues. Now these may seem trivial things to fix. But they will come at a time when you are focussed on completing something important. And you'll get frustrated! Was I annoyed? Yes! Was I frustrated? Yes! But I did not let these setbacks get in the way of my goals. I hooked up a new router, used an old laptop to connect to the internet while I got my main computer running again. I used an alternative video camera with a USB connection and shot the video again. Did it take more time to complete my goals? Yes! Was it more effort and less efficient than I had planned for? Yes! But... It did not stop me for doing what needed to be done to move my business forward. I found workarounds. I did whatever it took to meet my goals even though it took longer and required more work. This is what you do when you hit the wall: BUST RIGHT THROUGH IT! If you ever watched the movie "Run Fat Boy Run" you'll know the main character runs a marathon to impress his ex-fiancee and against all the odds finishes the race - even after hitting the wall and suffering with a severely sprained ankle. In the same way - nothing has to stop you. No one has to stop you. Determination...Courage...Action: These are your watchwords. Now get on an bust through your walls. Are you still just THINKING about starting a home based business? For goodness sake - GET STARTED - DO SOMETHING! Break through your indecision wall now.
