This is my direct client opening for Test Developer - Palo Alto, CA. This is a 6+ month's contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE. Candidates need to interview in person and should be in the CA area.
Description: This contract position is for a senior test developer to write C tests to test custom OS code (CAPI), where a managed code environment interfaces to a ported Unix OS, and other parts of a Unix system. This person would also likely implement and possibly architect, in concert with appropriate project leads, a test harness in a Unix based mobile OS. Qualifications: * Strong coding skills in C (minimum of 9 - on a scale of 1-10) (Not interested in C++ skills) * Expert knowledge of NetBSD (or other Unix variant) internals (as in how the operating system works) * Ability to write C code tests for a C API * Ability to read and understand code functions with no specification available, in a multithreaded, multitasking preemptive OS * Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science (with specialization in systems) (This position is not a typical Tester position. We need someone who is very familiar with the internal workings of the Unix operating System as well as experience writing APIs.)
