Senior SQL Server Database Administrator Job Description * Provide DBA services to internal and external clients * Designs, installs, and maintains complex database systems including data modeling, access, security, performance, and documentation * Leads the designs, development and implementation of database backup and recovery procedures to insure reliability * Integrates major, complex systems through the database system * Serves as interface between users and IT department * Coordinates and participates in large database projects * Develop and execute database migration, change management and configuration management tasks * Train less senior personnel Required Skills * Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience * Minimum 5 years SQL Server experience including design, implementation, backup and recovery, monitoring, and tuning databases * Experience using various third party monitoring tools * Understands complex and advanced database concepts * Considers business aspects of problems, and recognizes opportunities for expanding business services. * Must be proactive and preventive in problem solving * Minimum 1 year experience in OS or database administration * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills * Ability to work independently on multiple tasks * Strong communication and technical skills * Knowledge of relational databases, Structured Query Language (SQL), Windows operation system Thank you, DBA FYI Center http://dba.fyicenter.com/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle DBAs" group.
