Job     :       Senior level Remedy developer
Location        :       Houston, TX
Duration        ;       6 months plus.

Client has purchased BMC Remedy and will implement it as their global
IT Service Management (trouble ticket tracking and more) system.

•       A deep knowledge of workflow and processes that are automated within
the tool; create/develop/configure BMC Remedy Components (i.e.
Workflow, Forms, Escalations, etc.).
•       Utilize Remedy Action Request System.
•       Utilize Remedy System Administrator tool.
•       Configure BMC Remedy ITSM v7 out-of-box solution (Help Desk, Service
Desk, Incident Management, Request Management, Problem Management,
Change Management, Asset Management) and be able to define/extend
existing functionality to support requirements.
•       Provide Remedy functional and technical leadership within a small
team.
•       Work with Remedy vendor and internal staff to configure the system
and afterwards to identify and resolve operational incidents.
•       Provide backup for other support teams for more complex tasks
including: LDAP configuration, updates to CMDB data load processes,
basic troubleshooting of existing integrations.
•       Generate detailed functional system documentation.
•       Report vendor pertinent issues, evaluate alternatives and implement
bug fixes, patches, upgrades and application feature releases.
•       Report and track bug fixes and identify opportunities and impacts of
vendor releases and product roadmaps.




Experience Required:
•       10 years overall
•       2- 5 years in Remedy implementation and support
•       Familiarity with ITIL framework and concepts.
•       Previous experience in ITSM v7 implementation and CMDB 2.x release
•       Demonstrated understanding of BMC Remedy Components (i.e. Workflow,
Forms, Escalations, etc.)
•       Experience Integrating Remedy with other systems
•       Experience using the Remedy Administrator tool.
•       Experience in and aptitude for troubleshooting, performance tuning,
problem solving.
•       Experience in developing technical and functional design
specifications.
•       Understanding of business process developments and how they are
conveyed into applications.
•       Windows/NT Administration.
•       Database Administration.
•       Performance Engineering/Tuning experience.
•       Middleware experience.
•       Java/XML or other development languages.
•       Strong oral and written communications skills.
•       Ability and willingness to share knowledge with others and provide
technical leadership as appropriate.
•       Team worker with good interpersonal skills.
•       Customer Service orientation.
