Sybase database administration - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience. - 7+ years related Sybase ASE database administration experience including data/process analysis, backup and recovery, and SQL programming. SQL Server Database administration experience or a willingness to cross train - In-depth knowledge of the causes of and remedies of performance issues in a database from a SQL, SQL coding and RDBMS perspective. - 7+ year's experience working in a Unix or Windows environment, as well as, operating system specific scripting and executions. - Expert understanding of the database systems design and development process and its relationship to the needs of the business. - Thorough knowledge of data and process analysis and data base development technologies and tools. - Previous experience (at least 1 year) in project and team leadership/management preferred. - Excellent analytical ability, consultative, communication skills, strong judgment and the ability to work effectively with clients, data processing managers and staff.
