*** The hiring manager wants someone who's an EXPERT in DNS & DHCP Server configuration in a large enterprise environment *** System Administrator - DNS =============================== · Administer the servers running on Linux platforms · Troubleshooting the incidents & problems reported on the above servers / appliances · Provide the root cause analysis on the major incidents/problems · To carry out the scheduled activities like Patch management, Log file rotation · Involve in security related activities like OS hardening, Password management · Configuration of services like DNS, DHCP · Carry out user management activities · Scheduling, configuring & verifying backup jobs · Generating regular reports · Contribute to internal knowledge management system · Plan & execute improvement in related areas · ITIL process awareness · Experience of working in customer environment preferred. Skills: · Good hands on experience on Linux OS, good knowledge in DNS/DHCP. · Working knowledge on any of monitoring tools like Mercury, HP Sitescope. · Should have knowledge on the applications like IP adm. tools. · Knowledge on Active Directory would be desirable · Exposure on Cluster environment would be an added advantage · Should be familiar with hardware appliances. · RHEL certification preferred. · Good Communication skills · Good networking concepts. Good with IP addressing, subnets, routing and switching. Certifications: RHEL certification preferred.
