*Job Title: * SQL Data Analyst *San Diego** CA*** *Rate 45\h* *Face to face required* *10-12 mnths project* * * *PURPOSE OF THE JOB* Primary focus of this role is data cleaning, filtering and conversion. Data will be pulled from source systems and loaded into SQL. Ideal candidate will have strength in working with data from multiple sources, cleaning and filtering data for eventual load into SAP systems. This position reports to the EIS BI/Reporting Program Manager. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * - Evaluate SQL processes to improve performance and to ensure service level achievement - Serve as technical lead on medium to large complex projects - Develop, mentor and train less experienced SQL staff - Work with legacy mainframe and non-mainframe systems - Responsible for production support - Responsible for implementing design standards - Evaluate technical requirements and recommend appropriate storage strategies – including SQL Server 2005 - Collaborate with DBA personnel to resolve production issues - Advise Business Analytics team on future trends and technologies - Project management skills, including the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects, strongly desired. - Ability to interact with all levels of personnel in a professional, positive and proactive manner and to communicate clearly in a professional business environment. *EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE* Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline from a four-year college or university plus at least three to seven years related technical experience and/or training. *REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:* - At least 5 years MS SQL Server data analysis/development experience - Expertise in data cleaning and filtering and conversion. - At least 1 year experience in Insurance and Financial services is desirable - Expertise in managing, loading and comparing data pre/post conversion. - Experience in implementing standards and procedure in SQL work. - Understanding of Data Warehouse Architecture and Data Modeling is desired, but not necessary (OLAP & OLTP) - Expertise in SQL stored procedures and ability to tune SQL queries - Knowledge with parallel processing is a plus - Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities - Strong analytic and problem solving skills - Experience with source code change control process and tools - Comprehensive knowledge of standard system development life cycles principles and system development methodologies required *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* - Communicate complex technical ideas in a simple way with business users - Transform business user needs into technically feasible solutions - Experience with SQL Server 2005 is required - Ability to work on all programming tasks without instruction, and on other phases of applications development, such as quality assurance testing and walkthroughs, with general guidance - Ability to estimate, schedule and track projects from start to finish. * PLEASE SEND ME THE RESUMES TO MY OFFICIAL ID BELOW* *Best Regards* *Chris** Nihaki Systems,Inc.
