ONLY CANDIDATES FROM NY/NJ NEEDED: Description **Minimum 10 Years of experience required,Must have Financial background: **Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Specific tasks associated with performing this job: **Install, configure, and optimize new instances of MS-SQL Server. **Emigrate database from MS-SQL Server 2000 to MS-SQL Server 2005. **Establish mechanisms to diagnose and resolve production problems **Optimize performance of Dataserver, Databases and Applications **Develop stored procedures and triggers **Develop tools to automate the maintenance, monitoring and alert notification of database server. **Emigration to SQL 2005 from earlier versions **Database Design, Modeling , Managing **Expert knowledge and support DTS Packages or MSSQL 2005 equivalent **Windows scripting Advanced SQL knowledge. **Ability to work as part of a team across time zones and corporate cultures. **Strong background supporting mission-critical applications in financial industry. Education & Experience: **Standard by band level or grade, across functions and businesses includes certifications need to perform essential functions of the job (ex. CPA) **Minimum of 10 years experience with Database Administration. **Minimum of 5 years experience with MS-SQL Server database administration, Replication and other database related products. **Minimum of 3 years experience with developing tools on proactive monitoring and preventive maintenance. **Experience on architecting and implementing high availability solutions. **Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
