Imp NOTE: The key words will be Load and Performance testing; Load
Runner; performance Center HP Mercury Loadrunner, etc.
Needs experience with application set up or tuning in a lab
environment. Do not want someone who is Windows-centric.
Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
This role works closely with the Senior Staff Engineer and is
responsible for writing and executing Performance and Load tests on
applications. Good to expert working knowledge of Load Runner and
Performance Center scripting is a must. Operate and analyze Load and
Performance tests running in our Load Test Lab. Assist with the
analysis and documentation of application functionality and
performance testing results and statistics. Work with technical
project managers, engineers, operations, producers, and business unit
managers to ensure adequate application testing, and documentation.
Assist with the development and execution of manual and automated
testing scripts. Generally assist efforts of Senior Staff Engineers in
QA.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
* BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent
work experience required.
* 2 to 5 years of applicable experience in running and analyzing
Performance Center/Load Runner tests.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED
Technical Skills
* Able to work in both Windows and UNIX environments.
* Expert troubleshooting skills
* Strong familiarity and experience with application log analysis.
* Familiarity and experience with Site Scope and/or other
monitoring tools a plus
* Familiarity with application load, stress, and performance
testing and toolsets.
* Familiarity with code review and solution recommendation
techniques a plus.
* Proficient with HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Action Script
* Proficient in Flash, XML, Perl, Java, SQL,
* Knowledge and experience with common testing methodologies and
their application
Business Skills
* Very strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Basic math and statistical analysis skills
* Detail oriented with strong organizational Skills
* Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle or other
industry standard methodologies.
* Strong ability to switch between multiple tasks in a fast-paced
environment
* Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-
technical staff
