The position requires a technical professional specializing in web hosting web caching, streaming and management. Specifically, the position is responsible for remotely managing the Intelligent Content Distribution Service servers and application infrastructure platforms. * * **The position is part of the Content Delivery Network Tier III technical team that manages complex problem escalations, performance tuning and capacity planning. The candidate as part of the Tier III team also has responsibility for providing detailed design concepts in response to operational deficiencies, client satisfaction results and system reliability. * * **Required Skills:* *·** **Knowledgeable in the areas of Internet DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, web acceleration, media streaming protocols/vendors (QuickTime, Real, Media Player, content caching (Squid, Novell cache appliance), Global Server Load Balancing, windows/UNIX, Alteon Server Load Balancers and Global Server Load Balancers, video on demand and live streams.* *·** **Ability to correlate data points, manage patch deployment, code upgrades.* *·** **In-Depth knowledge the backbone telemetry network and it's connectivity to each of the Domestic and International ICDS nodes -- both streaming and caching – is preferred. * *·** **In-Depth product/service knowledge - Demonstrated expertise in the company's connectivity, product and service lines, their features, uses, applications and competitive qualities as well as their contribution to the profitability of the corporation. * * **This position is accountable for fault responsiveness for the ICDS and other Hosting Services which includes:* *·** **Reviewing trouble data and improvising additional monitoring points/thresholds to provide the highest standards for uptime with minimal effort for the ICDS service. * *·** **Planning and organizing the development of overall project plans from multiple perspectives including Development, Capacity Planning, Infrastructure Engineering, Proactivity, and customer-specific requirements. * *·** **Orchestrating and executing on the project plan to assure high quality, on-time and cost effective delivery.* * **Note:** Candidates can be submitted for consideration from 3 locations listed.
