May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations. ** Participated in *3 end-to-end BI & Portal Implementations 3-5 years of SAP BI & Portal with SAP NetWeaver experience*, specifically focused in *NetWeaver, Web Application Server (WebAS) & Java Application Server (JavaAS) experience on Unix (AIX 5.3 preferred) and ORACLE (10g preferred)* Experience with installation and technical setup & configuration, upgrades and application of support packs. *Oracle Database Administration* using certified Oracle and SAP Tools and Methodologies in relation to SAP BI & Portal. Experience with *Integration of SAP Portal and SiteMinder for Single Sign On * (SSO) Sound knowledge of* Unix Scripting, ABAP and Java Development* *SAP Certification* in BI & Portal Implementation would be a strong recommendation Applicant must have strong written and oral communication skills to effectively execute your responsibilities as part of a highly skilled dynamic SAP Technical Team Applicant will exhibit strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills to operate either within a team or independently ** Roles and Responsibilities: Responsibilities and duties ** Instruct and advise CLIENT Basis Team during Implementation of SAP BI & Portal systems. Develop tactical implementation plans for installation and configuration of *SAP BI & Portal Systems*. Install, Maintain, Integrate & Support SAP BI & Portal System based upon *SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Architecture, with Oracle RAC and AIX, GPFS *Perform core *SAP NetWeaver/Basis Configuration & DB Administration activities* Design and Maintain System Landscapes and operate Change Management Tools Monitor and maintain SAP BI & Portal Application and Database operations, conduct performance tuning to obtain optimal system performance. Advise on setup & configure within Solution Manager to monitor & administer SAP BI & Portal Systems. Execute and Support on a internal performance benchmark test Provide Support during Project Implementation *Installation and Application of SAP BI & Portal Support* *Packages * Work with Project Implementation teams to gather technical infrastructure requirements & execute on Project deliverables Support Project Implementation Teams, and application of software patches for both ABAP & JAVA engines, as required.
