Able to work in our downtown San Francisco office. The developer will work directly with interactive's producers to gain a strong understanding of the problem domain and to iteratively refine the applications as they are built. He or she will work with the entire application stack, from helping to design the database and building sophisticated model classes, to writing templates, to layering on a richer user experience using with the jQuery JavaScript library. While we have designers on staff to do the heavy lifting, a working knowledge of CSS will be useful. Qualifications: Comfortable working in UNIX-like environments, particularly Linux and Solaris. Knowledge of the Ruby language, object-oriented programming. Experience developing and deploying Ruby on Rails applications. Database design and SQL experience (MySQL and SQL Server directly applicable). Strong HTML, XHTML, and CSS experience. Experience working in a team environment; friendly, outgoing manner. Great communication skills, both verbal and written. 2# Remedy Developer: CA:: 6 Months 6 years demonstrated experience in the sotware engineering field, plus a College degree in related field. Strong experience using BMC Remedy ARS development platform. Strong experience using relational database systems.Strong experience utilizing the concepts of software engineering best practices and principles. Experience using structured programming and object-oriented techniques. Strong understanding of software development life cycle. Demonstrated experience being involved in various phases of software development life cycle. Strong experience designing software systems. Strong experience creating high level and detailed designs. Possess outstanding oral and written communication skills.
