Obtains detailed specifications from business users to ascertain specific output information requirements. Prepares detailed flowcharts, diagrams, and specifications from which programs will be written and owns design. Develops as well as reviews programs with the appropriate team members including architecture. Broad understanding of policies, practices and procedures in the analysis of business needs. Must have a strong background and in Java and middleware technologies are a plus. A strong knowledge of design and development best practices as well as an understanding of version control systems. A Computer Science degree is desired and a minimum 6 years development experience.
