Sr. Oracle DBA with SQL Server Experience Location is Pittsburgh 6 months The candidate will be responsible for both project and ongoing support work. Administer and support relational database management system (RDBMS) software, data, and infrastructure in the company's open computing environment. Install, configure, upgrade and maintain database systems and related software products in a manner consistent with existing service level agreements. Conduct performance and tuning analysis, capacity planning, workload modeling and prediction, systems support, long-term strategic planning, application support and optimization, problem resolution tracking, and software upgrades. Ensure data recovery and space requirements for physical databases. Provide high degree of coordination between user, technical, application, and corporate entities to ensure effective database management. Consult with application groups to assist in providing the right configuration for their environment. Proficient with Oracle 9i, 10g and SQL Server is a must, experience with RMAN, RAC, OID and Grid Control is highly desired. Proficiency in AIX, Linux and Windows is a requirement. On-call production support rotation required, off-hours, weekend, and holiday work is common.
