Description
The key responsibilities of these positions include: ensuring the
integrity and continued 24/7 operations of the organization; IBM DB2 database
administration; configuring and deploying databases; remotely managing the
organization's deployed hardware at customer sites; automating system builds
and deployment; maintaining a continuous operational database environment;
proactively monitoring and providing remedies around capacity issues; creating
and maintain system management documentation; following standards throughout
the development life cycle; designing and implementing solutions for systems
issues; configuring and deploying systems; preparing and validating disaster
recovery services.
Requirements: BS/BA or equivalent experience. 3 - 8 years of related
experience and working knowledge of DB2 on Linux, Postgres and MySQL, SQL/DDL
programming, database systems planning; BASH programming/scripting, and Nagios
systems monitoring. Experience should include stored procedure development,
supporting high availability databases and software development, Linux systems
administration and network administration. The ability to define problems,
collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions is critical along with
the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in
mathematical or diagram form. Effective written and oral communications skills
are required
