----------------- Required: Linux administration RedHat Shell scripting ------------------ Product company that delivers both hardware & software solutions. The products are installed by field engineers and the administrators in-house set up a lot of automation routines for the field. Will take RedHat 5.0 and develop automation routines to it. A lot of shell scripting involved. Will look at Kernel environment settings and change variables. Will integrate device drives, NAS, tape drives to hardware. ?and set up automation routines. Will be the Linux administrator for the 2 internal servers. They deal with telephony products too; so any exposure to MMS cards, VOIP and SIP would be a big plus. Also have someone in the windows environment. May become part of that administration too. As an exception, will help the field engineers as a level 3 support person. This is rare but it happens occasionally. ------------- What we really want: Hands on RH, Apache, Tomcat, SSH, SSL, Scripting Configuring RH Linux on server (as opposed to desktop) HW. Prod, QA and Dev system setup. VMWare (we have a lot of virtual systems for testing) -- that's a bonus. DB performance -- a skill we are weak with, that comes up frequently with our customers. PCI -- up and coming, not too much yet. It has been requested and is on our roadmap for one product.
