Experienced SAP SD Logistics consultant with a deep knowledge of Freight management processes in SAP. Prefer Chemical industry/Oil & Gas experience Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 3 months Rate: $65/hr - plus expenses Prefer Dallas based resources. Day-to-Day Activities: This is a client-facing role. * Work with client and BE team to articulate requirements around rate/route master data maintenance. * Implement mass-updates (add/modify/delete) to route/rate master data. * Define process for adding/maintaining route/rate master data. * Articulate options and best practices for maintaining rate data in SAP (point-to-point rates vs. mileage based rates, etc.). * Implement changes to routing guide. * Transfer knowledge to client organization Position-specific Required Skills: * Understanding of the Freight Accrual process in SAP * Design and configuration for accrual of accessorial charges (cleaning, detention, etc.) * Manual and automated update of route and rate master data (data to be updated includes route stages, transit times, transportation rates, etc.) It is key that this resource be familiar with multi-modal moves (plant to rail yard (via truck), rail yard to port (via rail), port to port (via ocean vessel)). Further, the resource should be familiar with the following movement types: Door-to-Port and Door-to-Door * Archiving of route master data (both individual and mass updates) * Routing Guide configuration (The client has significant challenges with incorrect routes pulling in at the time of Order Creation. We need to assess the configuration of the routing guide.) * Experience conducting Business Process Impact Workshops.
