Reply to [EMAIL PROTECTED] *Job Location:* Scranton, PA *Title* Release Manager *Department(s)* Application Development Team and Project Management Team *Rate * Open ( keep it competitive ) *Job Summary* The Release Manager (RM) manages the User Acceptance and Regression testing for the application releases received from the vendor. The candidate is responsible for coordination of effort between the various teams and departments to complete the testing. The RM will be responsible for preparing the deployment checklist to implement the release to the appropriate testing region. The candidate will schedule the User Acceptance Test cycles and support the testing team. The RM will conduct UAT meetings weekly to capture, discuss and resolve issues. Once testing is complete, the RM will coordinate the implementation of the release to Production and then work with the IT team to perform post-production system monitoring. *Summary of Essential Job Functions* The RM will also coordinate efforts with the various teams to schedule the receipt, implementation to testing regions and the final deployment to production of emergency bug fixes that are delivered by the vendor between releases. The RM also is responsible for moderating and conducting the Change Control Board meetings. This will include presenting change requests (RFCs) submitted by the business users to the Change Control Board where priorities are assigned to the issues based upon urgency and business impact of the issue. As the CCB moderator, the RM will also assist with Release Planning (slotting change requests to future releases based upon urgency and business impact) and maintain a list of items to be deferred to future releases to assist with release planning. The RM will also help with the coordination and preparation of bi-monthly steering committee meetings.
