They are expected to follow and adhere to Agile Development best practices. * * *Client's BI Platform is layered as follows:* · Presentation Tier: Cognos, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office · BI Services (OLAP and Data Mining Services) Tier: Microsoft Analysis Services 2005/2008 · Database Tier: SQL Server 2005/2008 · ETL Services: Informatica 8.x · Knowledge and experience with these technologies is highly desirable. · Key source applications include: JD Edwards and SalesForce.com. * * *Ongoing activities include:* · Partnering with the business and BI Team in the planning and designing new data marts through rapid prototyping. · Partnering with the business and BI Team in the building and deploying new data marts. · Refactoring and migrating existing BI solutions to the new standardized platform. · Defining new development standards and best practices. · Testing and validating existing BI solutions. · Oftentimes acting as a business analyst in the domains of finance, marketing, sales, operations, manufacturing, or supply chain. Skills · 5+ yrs professional experience in business intelligence or data warehousing · Education, training, and experience should clearly demonstrate the following: · Expertise in data modeling: relational modeling, dimensional modeling, and object-relational modeling.
