The Cleint has been in the process of migrating away from the Unisys
platform for some time. The most recent migration shows the requirement for
an extension of the Unisys environment through 2010 at a minimum. The
current HHSC Unisys mainframe environment consists of a number of components
that are approaching end of useful life, putting at risk the continued
operation of the critical systems that run on this infrastructure.
A solution has been developed that addresses the Cleints need for
continued service and helps mitigate the significant risks inherent in the
current operations. The solution provides the cleint with a new Unisys
mainframe environment and the associated peripherals necessary to support
the business systems.
Systems Analyst/Developers are needed to assist in this migration effort.
The project seeks Systems Analyst/Developers with demonstrated proven
experience of at least 7 years in analysis, reporting, and Unisys 2200 COBOL
& Executive Control Language (ECL) development. The systems analyst role
will entail the following responsibilities:
A. Analysis, design, coding, and testing of applications to meet
mainframe upgrade requirements
B. Communication of relevant project details with team leaders and other
team members
C. Documentation of software life cycle documentation work
D. Performing technical problem solving.

Experience with Unisys COBOL, RDMS/DMS databases, and TIP processing.

Experience with Unisys 2200 proprietary utilities.

Experience developing or modifying Unisys 2200 COBOL programs and ECL

Experience conducting tests of modified modules

Experience developing and modifying application documentation, including
Visio flowcharts

Experience mining code for requirements from existing 2200 Unisys COBOL
(Batch and TIP) programs for use as specifications in Requirements
Analysisand Application Design.

Knowledge and understanding of Harvest or similar software configuration
management tools

Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Experience conducting production reviews or implementation reviews.
