Job Description
Data Modeler for New Data Integration Project. This position is to fulfill a
need in the Global Information Warehouse's (GIW) Data Modeling Team, part of
GIW Shared Services. GIW services the entire Global Transaction Services
(GTS) division within Capital Markets and Banking (CMB).
Responsibilities
To provide data modeling services for a new Data Integration Project
Designing a Conceptual Model
Designing a Logical Model
Designing a Physical Model
Gathering Capacity Requirements
Assist in developing a Data Access Plan
Reviewing Data Access Plan
Define Data Quality Standards
This role also includes responsibilities related to Metadata Management and
Integration and to some extent, Database Environment Planning.
The Data Modeler will also work closely with development groups in the
testing and implementation phases of the projects.
The resource will need to build strong relationships within the GIW team and
several technology stakeholder groups within GTS.
Job Qualifications
3 to 7 years data modeling experience with specific experience in:
- Oracle
- Data Warehouses
- Structured Query Language
- Dimensional Modeling
- Experience with Large Data Warehouse updated in "Near Real Time"
- Experience in the Financial Services Industry
The candidate must possess superior communication skills as they will be
interacting with people with diverse skills and seniority.
Educational requirements: BA/BS
