DESCRIPTION: We are currently seeking a Senior Portal Developer with 6+ years experience to work in the Information Technology group. This hands-on development position requires heavy interaction with application developers and operational teams. This individual will be a part of the development team to build new portal applications as well as support and enhance existing applications in the Portal Content Group. Responsibilities • Work collaboratively with development team • Implement client side scripting • Implement server side model and controller code • Design and document user interfaces for portal/content management system environments Best Practices Documentation • Produce system design documents and participate in technical walkthroughs *Qualifications • Strong technical background that encompasses client server technologies with heavy emphasis on J2EE portal platform development • Integration & deployment of J2EE applications on WebLogic application server • Vignette Portal UI development experience • Other Programming experience: Java/J2EE, JSR 168, Spring framework, AJAX/JavaScript (Dojo with DWR), Architecture, Database Stored Procedures, XML, HTML, DHTML); • Tools: Eclipse, profiling, code/platform optimization and fine tuning server side integration knowledge; • RDBMS: Oracle DBMS; operating system: Solaris 8, 10 • Understand Ajax and how it is used in a portal environment • Must have strong Java programming skills, good understanding of common design patterns used in object oriented implementations, and good skills in front-end, middle-tier, and database programming • Must have the capability to understand complex algorithms and workflows • Comfortable meeting deadlines while delivering a quality product • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile preferred) • Good knowledge of and hands-on experience with XML/XSL and Web Services (UDDI, SOAP, WSDL) • CVS or similar source code control environment • Self-starter who is organized, works with minimal supervision, and is a team player; • Excellent team work and must have high level of communication and articulation skills, including strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with other developers in a coaching or mentoring relationship • Demonstrated leadership skills • Strong analytical skills • Solid written communication skills • Excellent verbal communication skills • Ability to drive, multi-task and prioritize • Ability to manage expectations • Disciplined approach to defining and understanding technical specifications and creativity to come up with one if lacking thereof • Work on financial services development and integration projects • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field required* -- Thanks & Regards Abhi --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Distribution" group.
