SAP Payroll Parallel Tester Work Location: Jacksonville, FL Duration: 6 months Initial Assignment Responsibilities: This Jacksonville Florida based position is responsible for supporting SAP Payroll Parallel Testing efforts initially on a key global client implementation in our HR BPO business. We require 2 resources with US Payroll experience and 1 with Canada Payroll experience. All Three of them will be based in Jacksonville if any possible travel to Client site. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: · Create/execute test cases of varying complexity which includes the analysis of document deliverables. · Participate in test case reviews for other team members to ensure adherence to standards and ensures test case completeness. · Prioritize one's own work in accordance with management guidelines. · Participate actively in Test Automation activities where applicable, including the creation and execution. · Analyze data for feature and regression testing, selecting regression suites for major releases, selecting appropriate testing environment and platform for relevant regression testing. · Perform data selection/setup and creation to ensure timely and adequate testing of features. · Monitor production issues to determine future testing requirements that may result in changes to existing test cases (depending on the business unit location). · Analyze a problem to assess whether code, environment, or data is the root cause. · Provide detailed issues documentation and test cases to satisfy requirements for proof of testing, as applicable. · Create status reports during testing cycles that contain clear and concise information, indicating any areas that may be in jeopardy. · Communicate with the Development Team on enhancements and support on fixes. · Support the various Development Teams including System Engineers, Programmers, and Technical Writers throughout the life cycle of enhancements/releases. · Identify the severity of issues and escalate jeopardy items to appropriate personnel. · Research and implement new testing tools that benefit the team (depending on the business unit location). · Attend all applicable requirement and design meetings as well as facilitating test case reviews and ensuring applicable sign off. · Provide proof of testing to demonstrate that functionality has been tested according to requirements. · Serves as an information resource to other team members. · Conceive and implement process improvements for the testing team. · Listen to client concerns about test case results or comparison of test cases compared to requirements. · Plan and organize all tasks associated with feature and regression testing from requirements phases through delivery to the client. · Create accurate and comprehensive testing estimates. · Develop and execute test plans and strategies, ensuring quality deliverables are produced within established time tables. · Responsible for executing test cases, analyzing and documenting test output and managing resulting defects through re-testing cycles. · Manage migration of software into testing environments and manage versions of software, if applicable. · Manage testing defects and coordinate resolution with development. · Participate in review and approval of requirements. · Analyze requirements and design to understand how the enhancement works and to gain a clear understanding of system interfaces as necessary to develop testing strategy and test cases. · Work with client during testing, as applicable.
