*SAP Consultant - foreign currency expertise * *Location:* Open *Duration:* 2 months for initial phase. Implementation time To Be Determined (dependent on study findings) *Start: * ASAP *Extra info:* Location/Access needed – TBD before contractor on site. Could be domestic and international sites. *GMI will provide vendor VPN access for PC's with Windows XP (Not for Vista OS)* *Partner with GM SAP FICO team to review current configurations and reporting in our GM International instance and the associated BW instance as it relates to foreign exchange and usage of multiple exchange rate types in a single environment. * *Deliverable:*** *Conduct high level study and provide recommendations on how to change the existing ERP Fx configuration and BW systems to be compliant with US GAAP, compliant with local country statutory and compliant with our internal management reporting of balance sheet & profitability data using annual budgeted Fx rate.* *Background for prospective candidates:*** Today, the NA instance "M" rate is the published daily rate, and the "P" rate is the annual budget rate (ie static rate used for management reporting). The "M" rate in the International ERP instance is the annual budget rate (ie static rate used for management reporting). The International instance does not currently utilize a daily Fx rate, which is necessary for US GAAP compliance.
