(SBA) Engineering and Quality Assurance department. The primary objective of this role is to complete an analysis of SBA's existing system architecture, address gaps/deficiencies in the documentation of those systems and work with various counterparts in the organization to develop a functional matrix that identifies the features/functions available in SBA's core systems and maps those elements to the key SBA business process or activity that is fulfilled through that functionality. The BSA will be expected to become an expert in not only the systems that have been developed to support SBA, but also in the underlying business processes that drive the usage of those systems so process improvement and design enhancements can be identified, defined, designed, built and incorporated into the new technology solution. The BSA will be expected to establish themselves as a subject matter expert in the SBA's systems. The BSA will be charged with ensuring that system documentation is reflective of both current and anticipated functionality. The BSA will assist SBA Engineering and Quality Assurance in managing IT Compliance and overall management of the SDLC as it relates to analyst responsibilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Partner with Business and System Owners to review legacy systems and identify system transformation objectives. · Assist Project Managers in evaluating current state process flows to identify technology process improvements. · Document current and future state process flows. · Define how the SBA process flows and system changes tie in to enterprise-level systems as appropriate. · Collaboratively work with business owners, IT, and other stakeholders to effectively communicate requirements, gather their feedback, and implement as appropriate. · Write Technical Requirements and Functional Specifications that detail the business needs and end-user experience for new systems and existing system changes. · Manage the requirements gathering effort and ensure completeness for downstream technical specification and definition processes. · Provide vital input into QM processes to assist the QM organization and managing to quality goals, objectives and adherence to a Zero Defect culture. · Review test plans provided by the SBA QA organization for accuracy and completeness · Assist in defining and improving upon the overall project development process, particularly for technology changes. · Contribute to the overall Process and System Solutions? team goal of continuous improvement through process, technology, and people changes, along with delivering quality, on-time project results. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: · 4 year college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent IT experience · 3+ years business systems analysis experience or relevant experience · Exposure to complex business systems built on Lotus Notes/Domino and .Net/SQL platforms · Experience managing to multiple SDLC approaches and methodologies such as Agile, Spiral and Waterfall · Experience defining systems built in Object Oriented and Services Oriented frameworks · Experience with RDBMS platforms, mainly Microsoft SQL Server · Excellent communication, relationship-building, critical thinking, business writing, and organizational skills. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team in completing assignments. · Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills · Ability to elicit information when requirements are unclear or insufficient. · Ability to work under strict deadlines and short turnaround timeframes.
