The client is developing a solution to capture information for certificates (Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce etc.) The current certificates are stored in a mainframe environment. The State of Louisiana wants the client to develop a web based ASP solution for this. The coding will be done in ASP.net and VB.net in the back end (version 2008) using the .net framework 3.5. The backend server will be SQL Server 2000-2005. Good knowledge of AJAX toolkit. There are two modules being developed in Phase 1. This phase will include the Point of Service (POS) and the Birth Certificate module. About 80% of the coding for this module is already done. The new developer will need to understand the existing code, and complete these modules. The birth certificate module has seven tabs and captures information about the child, parent, hospital, modical records of the mother and child, certification of birth by the doctor etc. There is extensive use of stored procedures of objects, and the candidate must be very strong in both. Once an object is created, it needs to be sustained through the entire transaction (session). The candidate must also know how to manululate XML in .net framework. There will be validations that need to be done and the candidate must also be good with repeaters, XML files and data tables. There are a lot of check boxes which are connected to tables in the databases. So the candidate must have a good knowledge about dynamic control. The candidate must be pro-active with good logical skills. Please let me know if you need any further information.
