Strong candidates may lead developers, both on shore and off shore, to implement product enhancements. Work with technical leads to confirm and substantiate functional and technical designs. Learn and deploy new technologies as needed. Prioritize work load to meet multiple project deadlines. Adapt in a dynamic and collaborative work environment and make independent decisions. *Specific Skills / Experience Required: * 5 to 7 years of application development experience with J2EE technologies. Experience analyzing requirements, designing, implementing and problem solving within distributed/multi-tiered applications. Strong communications skills (written and verbal) Strong problem solving and analytical skills *Experience using the following technologies: * Java 7+, JSP, Servlet, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, EJB, XML, JNDI, JDBC, LDAP, PL/SQL, UNIX *Extensive experience with the following open source tools: * Struts, Spring, Hibernate Experience developing distributed applications using Web Services and/or EJB. Experience developing with J2EE application servers, such as WebSphere 6.x. Experience developing with relational databases, such as Oracle 10.x Experience packaging and deploying J2EE applications Experience using and producing design documentation and UML deliverables Solid grasp on relational database modeling and design Solid understanding of HTTP and web-based authentication and authorization concepts Strong knowledge of OO concepts and commonly used Design Patterns Experience using software development IDE tools, such as RAD or Eclipse *Nice to Have:* Experience using Agile methodologies, including Test Driven Development Experience supporting legal/regulatory compliance such as PCI, SOX and GLBA. Experience with application security concepts and solutions Experience with the following technologies and/or tools: Subversion, Maven, JMS, AOP, JAAS Experience developing with Business Objects / Crystal Reports Strong leadership skills and experience leading developers Financial and Payments Industry experience .
