* * *Position : Tester/Quality Assurance - Lead - Internet Location : Philly Duration : 5 months Pay $30 /hr** Supervises, guides and provides technical support to onshore and offshore QA staff during the construction phase of a new SOA trade services application. Assists in the development of overall QA plans and timetables. Directs the QA staff in the preparation and conduct of quality testing with the development group in advance of user acceptance testing. Provides technical expertise to client and IT management and staff regarding the design and implementation of quality application software and systems. Participates in the development of a consistent testing methodology and environment. Performs related duties as assigned or requested. Receives general direction from the development manager. Expertise with automated functional testing packages such as Mercury Quality Center or Rational, functional test plan preparation, test script preparation and execution, defect remediation and a working knowledge of distributed computing environments (including application servers, databases, message queues, and legacy systems). Communication skills spanning both the technical and business domains is a must as the candidate will be required to interface with both business and operations as well as the technology development staff.
