They are ideally looking for someone who has 4-5 years or Cobol development experience who has then shifted into a Java development roll for the last few years. They are looking to pay 50/hr with a bump after 3 months of training. Communication skills are key. The following are the qualities the senior COBOL developers we are looking for should have: - Extensive COBOL coding and testing experience - Be able to handle new development, major enhancements, and maintenance utilizing COBOL in conjunction with a Self-certifying File System (SFS).
