SQL, J2EE, EJB, JSP/JSF, JDBC, JMS, XML, JNDI, Spring, Hibernate, HTML, DHTML, and AJAX • Thorough understanding of SOA principles, implementation methodologies, issues and related tools (e.g., XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, etc.) and working knowledge emerging standards (e.g., WS-*, BPEL4WS, XPDL, SCA and SDO etc.) • Must have worked on implementing a large system involving complex human workflows • Should understand rules engine integration • Should have good understanding of document management systems (FileNet preferred), reporting products (Crystal preferred) • Very good listener and communicator. Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills • Experience with rules engine commercial products, such as ILOG JRules, Blaze Advisor, etc. • Strong knowledge, demonstrated through project experience, of architectural description techniques using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) functional, static, and dynamic behavior view artifacts. • Experience using industry standard UML modeling tools, such as Rational Software Architect • Work independently to define and implement solutions for business/technical teams • Good documentation skills especially in support of solution architecture standards and processes • Works well in a team oriented, collaborative environment • Messaging architectures (EAI), JMS, XML, SOAP, Web Services, Websphere MQ, Message Broker desired The contractor must provide a System Architect who will be responsible for the identification, design, integration and implementation of the technical platform upon which the completed application will reside. This role will also be responsible for development of the system architecture within the Conceptual Design, oversight of development tasks, integration of component sub-systems, infrastructure, interfaces, and ensuring system performance, reliability, and flexibility. *State Qualifications: * At least 3 years experience designing and overseeing the implementation of technical architectures for IT Internet/Intranet development projects comparable in size and complexity to MATRX. Experience must include architecture of systems involving specification and integration of software and hardware for PCs, web servers, application servers, database servers, network servers and topology, workflow management tools, document management and imaging, rules engine, query tools, and report generators. At least 3 years experience in the creation of conceptual and detailed designs for Java based applications or .Net applications (depending upon recommended architecture), including overseeing the development and implementation of Java (or .Net) programming specifications, screen design, report design, Java or .Net development, and logical database design. A strong understanding of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and its implementation benefits and challenges is required. Practical experience with the technology is also required.
