DBAs typically are involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning. *Complete Description:* DBA 3- Years of Experience: 5 plus years Education:4 year college degree or equivalent technical study Role Description: All roles specified in DBA 1 & 2 plus: Highly skilled at database design, installations, conversions. Responsible for database backup and recovery procedures, access security and database integrity, physical data storage design and data storage management, design of data dictionaries and logical and physical data models. Reverse engineering using Designer 2000 and ErWin. Participates in Database Management System selection and maintains database performance. Expertise in specific Oracle 8i,9i, 10g,DB2, SQL server including clustering, Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard in three tiered architecture. Support Oracle Parallel Server on SUN Solaris platform. Untilize Enterprixe Manager and Oracle diagnostic pack. Enage in ongoing process improvement. Required / Desired Skills Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Knowledge of Performance Manager and SQL Analyzer Required 5 Years Knowledge of conversion of mainframe and other legacy data to Oracle Required 5 Years Knowledge of Pro*C, shell scripts and SQL Loader.
