Location: South Attleboro, MA Interview Process: Phone screen then in person interview Client is in the midst of an ERP implementation to Lawson M3. They have been trying to find an application programmer with Java skills with Lawson M3 experience in an ISeries environment Position Summary: Play a key role as the sole developer in developing and modifying functions that will interface with M3. Work with end users and project team members to understand the business needs and develop a solution that meets those needs. Develop expertise on use of M3 and provide guidance and support for enhancements and problem resolution. Essential Functions: * Develop an understanding of business environment and how M3 supports it * Produce new functions and modifications to the Lawson M3 environment based on business needs * Ensure solutions have been fully tested and documented * Provide support to the end users including training and problem resolution * Participate in the full life cycle activities including Discover-Define-Design-Develop-Deploy * Produce adhoc reports for users and senior management * Test Lawson provided changes and upgrades to the Lawson M3 system * Troubleshoot production problems Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Development expertise in Java (Lawson M3) * Experience with major technologies such as Java, Java Script, relational databases (DB2 and SQL Server), API's, Web Services, Websphere, iSeries (AS400) and Windows * Experience with supporting end user applications, especially ERP packages . Good organizational, prioritization and time management skills; a positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic is essential * Strong problem-solving skills * Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, pressure environment with conflicting demands as the only developer on the staff * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with all levels of staff and management . Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences . Ability to exhibit and exercise sound judgment . Some experience with business analysis and project management Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job.
