Description: Develops and maintains business system and corporate architectures. Conducts highly complex technology and system assessments, including solutions to enhance or create new business opportunities, integrating multiple technologies. Acts as lead in component architecture and participates in enterprise architecture. Provides in-depth technical and systems consultation to internal clients and technical management in all areas of the business to ensure conformity with corporate architecture. This individual must demonstrate Technical Architectural Leadership, playing a vital role in the design of Wells Fargo's secure online infrastructure running in 24x7x52 environment. They must deliver designs that meet project requirements, are on time, and are on budget. Analyze business and technical requirements to determine system design, potential issues, and related cost for each project request. Contribute significantly to feature prioritization and systems architecture. Review Requirement Documents, and develop implementation strategies that preserve the availability, performance, integrity, stability, and scalability of site systems and designs, consistent with cost (Capital and Labor) constraints. Produce design documents to effectively handover infrastructure architecture to other Operations departments for successful systems engineering and implementation. Develop design standards and guidelines, and mentor other architects and engineers on best practices. Demonstrate expertise and leadership in problem solving expertise. Work with Business Analysts, Web Engineers, Network Engineers, Systems Administrators, Applications Developers, Architects, Data Base Administrators, Operations persons, and Software Vendors to prevent or solve difficult performance problems. Interact with internal and external technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to availability, functionality, performance, reliability, repeatability, and scalability. Facilitation and team-building skills at all levels. Ability to influence, train, mentor and leverage the skills of others, including business partners and technical team. Contribute to the selection, prototype, and implementation of 3rd party software (e.g. application server software), hardware, network devices, and technical solutions. Ability to thrive in a high-pressured but highly structured, customer-oriented environment. Ability to multi-task multiple projects at once Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelors Degree *7+ years of overall technical experience Expertise breadth and/or depth in covering the following technologies: TCP/IP and load balancing strategies; Applications design and implementation; Java programming; EJB/J2EE; C/C++ programming; Messaging and Queuing; Utility scripting (e.g. awk, sed, perl, bourne); Web services design; Solaris and Linux operations, programming services and internals (other unix variants are a plus); Linux; NT/Win2K; Managing/Tuning Database servers; SAN technology, Database Design; high availability strategies; 5+ years of Oracle/BEA Weblogic 8 and/or 9 and have a strong understanding of administration, clustering, and deployment technologies. * *5+ years of application design and implementation with Java with an emphasis on J2EE/EJB. * *Expertise in breadth and/or depth in: Web services design, SUN Solaris 8 and 10 operations, Linux, database design, Oracle, Sun One or Apache web servers, CA Wiley Introscope.* *Solid understanding of software data flow, and how it applies to the physical layer. * *Experience with implementing high availability, fault tolerant systems in a dynamic environment. * *Very strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization. * *Experience with high volume web systems or large transaction client-server systems Experience in designing solutions that fit the project cost (Capital and Labor) constraints Experience interacting with vendors to evaluate new products. * *Excellent communication and relationship skills, especially the ability to articulate advanced technical topics (e.g. process scheduling, disk and file system I/O, layered software designs and implementations, kernel internals, TCP/IP communications at all levels); Ability to articulate business issues/concerns with staff, peers, superiors, and outside parties (e.g. vendors, partners).* *Expertise in presenting presentations to all levels of the organization. * *Excellent written and verbal skills* Masters Degree *12+ years of overall technical experience Experience with Industry Monitoring and Alarming Tools. * Current with the latest and upcoming Hardware and Software from HP, Sun, Client, IBM, Oracle/BEA, and F5.
