The Enterprise Systems Management organization is looking for an Engineer who will be responsible for: Providing Tier 1 production administration and support for Clients Web Application and Web Server environment from the Reston, Virginia technology Center. Will work as Daytime primary to support Client's WebLogic and Web server Infrastructure Hands-on installation, configuration and maintenance of BEA WebLogic on a Sun Solaris Platform. This includes troubleshooting production issues and deploying application components. Develop and document korn shell and perl scripts that will automate tedious administration processes. Installation, configuration and support of BEA WebLogic Server, Sun Java Enterprise WebServer and Apache on a Sun Solaris or LINUX Platforms. Will be required to diagnose performance or reliability issues in multi-tier application systems. Must have working knowledge of server systems that support multi-tier web enabled applications and be able to diagnose and trouble shoot problems that may occur on any of the components or at the interfaces between components Installation, configuration, deployment and troubleshooting for Tibco EMS, iProcess and Business Works SOA Software. Strong critical thinking skills demonstrated by understanding the "big picture" as well as the ability to delve deep into specific technical details required to solve the business need. Setting customer expectations and working with customers to achieve best results; demonstrate cooperative teaming skills to achieve results that cannot be derived from the engineer's actions alone; and the ability to collaborate within a cross functional team. *Qualifications:* A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree and/or experience 5 years of J2EE application experience either as an application administrator or developer. Hands-on knowledge of a JBOSS, BEA WebLogic or Tibco SOA product Suite with Web Server technologies such as iPlanet, Apache. Hands-on experience with JNDI, JDBC, JMS, EJB, MDB, JSP and Servlets. Strong software integration skills specifically related to the integration of J2EE technology on a Unix Platform. Technical experience with Unix Korn shell scripting, Perl scripting, developing diagrams with MS Visio and MS Excel. Clearly demonstrated communication and teaming skills. Must be able to convey information concerning problems, solutions, or task to other team members for resolution or implementation. Must be able to clearly convey to customers information concerning solutions and projects. Clearly demonstrated problem solving skills. Must be able to perform root cause analysis and determine cause of problems in order to develop specific solution to an issue. Must be able to document and communicate a problems solution to other system administrators in addition to implementing the solution. Systems Administrator administers and configures application server clusters and web servers, as well as setting up server securities.
